College Basketball Picks Today
Every Division I men's college basketball game on today's slate gets three picks: a projected winner with a win probability, a side of FanDuel's spread, and an over or under on FanDuel's total, with the projected score behind all three.
What goes into it
- Each team's offence and defence, rated in points per 100 possessions and adjusted for who they played
- Each team's pace, which sets how many possessions the game should have
- Last season's ratings early in the year, pulled toward average because college rosters turn over
- Home court, and none on a neutral floor
How it was tested
The whole 2025-26 season was scored a day at a time, each day from games played before it, with the settings fitted only on 2023-24 and 2024-25. On the 5,114 games FanDuel priced, its pick won 70.3%; the more confident it was, the more often it was right: 60% or more went its way 75.6% of the time (3,924 games), 70% or more 81.1% (2,774) and 80% or more 88.7% (1,666).
FanDuel's favourite won 71.3% of those same games, so the model picks winners about as well as the price does, not better. Against the spread it went 49.2% and on totals 50.3%: coin flips, so treat the spread and total sheets as projections, not plays. Use the win probability against the price; the odds lesson shows the conversion.
The record
Every game is graded the next morning against the final, at FanDuel's posted price, and the season record sits on the board.
