The totals sheet gives an over or under on every NHL game with a posted total, and how confident the model is.

How it works

• A scoring rate for each side from goals and shots for and against.
• The opposing starting goalie's save percentage, and back-to-backs.
• Every possible final score worked out from the two rates, counting a shootout win as a goal, the way a total is settled.
• Blended with FanDuel's own total and price.

The honest part

Tested on three seasons of FanDuel's lines, the model reads totals about as well as the market does, not better. The sheet prints its picks, its confidence and its live record, and nothing more.
